Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil opened his scoring account in the Major League Soccer (MLS) as LA Galaxy beat San Jose Earthquakes.
Paintsil, who debuted in the competition against Inter Miami, continued his impressive performance as his side claimed a 3-1 win.
The 26-year-old got his team off to a flying start in the 18th minute after a breakaway and finished with his weaker foot after a pass from Marky Delgado.

The former Genk man stretched his side's lead moments later as he set up Dejan Joveljic for the game's second goal to make it 2-0 against San Jose.
LA went into the recess 2-0 up and were certain to claim all three points.
After the break, Riqui Puig added a third and put the game beyond the reach of their opposition.
Paintsil went off after 63 minutes following another impressive outing for his new club. The Ghanaian now has two goal involvements in his last two games.
