Ghana's first truly digital television, MultiTV, has launched its new channel, Joy News with a bang.
Joy News' Evans Mensah presented Top Story on TV with such marvelous dexterity that even the gods would be jealous.
Prior to the historic launch, Joy News Managing News Editor (TV), Mary-Ann Eyram Acolatse said, "Joy News will provide cutting edge coverage of breaking news with the immediacy, currency and national presence it demands taking full advantage of multimedia broadcasting group’s strong news brand – through its world class news bureau, correspondents and operational efficiency across radio and online platforms."
She said “a well thought out news broadcast strategy that will push the standards of journalism in the country high, speak to the development needs of Ghana and Africa, illuminate centers of power, empower and charge citizens to act in ways that will revolutionize news consumption experience within Ghana and beyond”.
The launch demonstrated that Joy News will indeed match international standards.
