Asante Kotoko drew yet another league match at Baba Yara stadium - but the overriding emotion at the final whistle was a relief rather than frustration after Saddick Adams struck a late penalty against AshantiGold.

Hans Kwofie's hooked first-half effort put Ashgold on course for a win that would have seen them close in on top four, only for a second-half pressure to finally pay dividends in stoppage time as Adams’ penalty secured a dramatic 1-1 draw.

It was a remarkable end to an enthralling encounter in which Kotoko struggled to turn dominance into goals, like so many matches this term.

And head coach Steven Pollack admitted he was not particularly happy with his side's performance in a post-match interview. 

"I'm not happy with the performance because we created a lot of chances and we failed to bury them"

"I get frustrated with our decision making because there are so many good choices we could have made on the pitch"

Meanwhile, There was no such problem for Liberty Professionals, who gave themselves hope in their battle against relegation thanks to a 2-1 win over Medeama away.

Bernard Arthur scored all two goals for the Scientific Soccer Lads.
