Asante Kotoko have claimed the fifth place on the Glo Premier League table after edging All Stars to it via a marathon penalty shootout. With both sides finishing regulation time 3-3, the game had to be decided through penalties at the Coronation Park in Sunyani. And it proved to be a marathon session as the Porcupine Warriors run away winners after a 11-10 result on penalties after each side had taken 13 kicks apiece.Despite a poor season by their own standards, fifth place would be considered a bonus as Kotoko seeks to rebuild for next season. Both sides finished the season level on points, 44 apiece after the final day matches of the season last Wednesday. However, the use of the head-to-head rule still proved inconclusive as the two sides were still drawn level thereby the introduction of a one-off game to determine who finishes fifth.Source: Ghanafa.org
