There is growing tension at Kpassa in Nkwanta North of the Volta Region following clashes between two ethnic groups there Friday. The clashes began after the Konkombas refused to allow the Nawuris to bury one of their kinsmen at a near-by village in Kpassa. Some residents who spoke to Joy News said they had to flee the area as houses were burnt down.Joy News correspondent Agbeko Ben Kofie said the Regional Security Council responded swiftly and “as we speak there is adequate police (presence) in Kpassa and the military is on stand by.”
