L'AÎNÉ Foundation has successfully hosted a 'Start-Up Workshop' at the LOC Events Centre in Adabraka, with a focus on equipping Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with essential tools and knowledge to thrive in Ghana’s competitive business environment.
Managing Director of L'AINE HR, James Laar highlighted the importance of dedication, discipline, and strategic principles in running a successful business.
He stressed that these values are key to navigating Ghana's challenging business landscape.
The keynote speaker, Kwame Owusu-Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of Opportunity International Savings and Loans Ltd, delivered an interactive and insightful presentation.
He encouraged the over 200 entrepreneurs present to explore innovative ways of generating capital, such as barter trades and partnerships.
Mr Owusu-Boateng’s passion for entrepreneurship and his practical advice resonated with participants, motivating them to rethink and refine their business strategies.
A dynamic panel discussion followed, centered on the theme "Harnessing Cultural Influence for Effective Startups and SME Growth in Ghana."
The panel featured industry experts, including Kwame Owusu-Boateng, Chichi Yakubu, CEO of NYONYO Essentials, Reginald Sakitey, Head of Internal Audit and Operations at L'AINE HR, and Mrs. Gloria Cabutey-Adadoadji, Head of SME and Retail Banking at Zenith Bank.
The discussion provided valuable insights into how cultural influences can be leveraged to foster business growth, with panelists sharing their diverse experiences in navigating the Ghanaian market.
The workshop concluded with a startup clinic, offering participants the chance to interact directly with resource persons and seek personalized guidance on business processes.
This interactive session allowed entrepreneurs to address specific challenges and receive tailored advice, further enhancing their business skills.
