Leicester City are monitoring the Ghana international defender Daniel Opare, according to the Daily Mail.
The Foxes view the 27-year-old Black Stars man as an attractive alternative to Benfica’s Andre Almeida, who would cost approximately three times as much.
Opare, who has impressed in the Bundesliga this term, playing at his favourite right back position for Augsburg, is available for a cut-price fee because his contract with Augsburg will run out at the end of the season.
Opare’s versatility adds to his appeal, with the defender able to cover either the right- or left-back positions.
However, Leicester will face competition from fellow Premier League clubs West Ham United and Stoke City.
