About 600 dollars from the country’s donor partners meant for various projects in the 2015 budget should come in soon after an IMF review of the economy.
That is the expectation of President John Mahama.
Speaking at the May Day celebrations last Friday, the President said the funds which were frozen due to concerns about management of the economy will start coming in after the IMF completes its assessment of the economy as part of the three-year bailout program.
The board of the IMF, earlier this year, approved a program to help stabilize the economy and support Ghana’s balance of payment support.
About 114 million dollars have already hit Bank of Ghana’s account and the next tranche is expected in July this year .
