When cake creator Lara Clarke met her husband-to-be Nikki Mason she thought he looked good enough to eat.
So much so that she made a lifelike edible version of the couple for their wedding day!
Talented baker Lara, 29, created the masterpiece of the 27-year-old groom and herself in their wedding outfit.

Their wedding took place in Malta last month but Lara created the cake for the couple’s reception for 200 guests at Great Wyrley Football Club last Saturday.
The cake was made from 20kgs of icing and 20kgs of chocolate cake, reports the Birmingham Mail.

The couple met at Sunderland University nine years ago during Freshers Week and love blossomed over a drinking game - which Lara won.

Lara said: “We both like a laugh and thought it would be great to create a cake which would give our guests a good laugh.
“I have created myself as the happy bride on our wedding day with Nikki drinking cans of lager from a ‘marriage survival kit’ as a way of coping with getting married to me.

“We never ended up eating the cake on the night as people were too busy taking pics of it, so I actually left the cake at the club for the players there to cut up and enjoy.
“It took me around 20 hours to create where usually I would spend about 150 hours on a cake of that size so it was a little rushed.“
Lara shot to global fame in 2013 when her cake of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean scooped gold at the Cake International contest.
At last year’s event, she made an iced replica of Jennifer Lawrence, which the Hunger Games star herself described as “amazing”.
