PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay will undergo a medical on Monday ahead of his agreed transfer to Manchester United, according to Sky sources.
Once the Dutch international passes his medical, the final paperwork can be completed and the deal will be confirmed once the transfer window opens on July 1.
The 21-year-old winger moves to Old Trafford after a sensational season in Holland which saw him score 22 league goals and fire PSV Eindhoven to the Eredivisie title.
Depay has spoken of his delight at the move and is confident he will be able to make a big impact in the Premier League next season.
"I want to improve myself but Dutch players have played also in the Premier League and I spoke with many of them,” Depay said.
“I believe I can be a big player in the Premier League and I showed my ability in the World Cup.
"I am very excited. I was always reading about the Premier League. It has been a big dream and one that came true.”
Depay’s arrival is the first in what should be a busy summer for United with uncertainty surrounding futures of stars such as David De Gea, Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie.
United chief executive Ed Woodward assured supporters last week that Louis van Gaal will have a squad capable of competing for all trophies next season and promised Depay is just the start.
"In regards to this summer's transfer activity, we have already started implementing our plans and last week announced that Memphis Depay, viewed as one of the most exciting young players in Europe, will be joining the first team,” Woodward said.
"We expect to be active again during the window, but it's too early to give guidance on transfers or wages at this point.”
