Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Animah Wilson says the ongoing strike by consultants at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is politically motivated. The Deputy Minister found it intriguing that only consultants in Komfo Anokye have gone on strike when their colleagues in other hospitals and in other regions are still at post. She was speaking with Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah during her visit to the facility today.“Why is it that Korle-bu is working, Tamale is working and Komfo Anokye is not working? What exactly is it?“It is the same administration; it is the same money to be approved at Finance,” she added. She said the job of the doctors is to save lives and not resort to strikes at the least misunderstanding.
