Ghana international Mohammed Salisu has revealed the area of the pitch he feels comfortable playing following his move to AS Monaco.
The central defender has had his debut delayed as he works his way towards regaining fitness and becoming match ready for his new club.
Salisu joined the Ligue 1 side last from Championship side Southampton signing a five-year deal. He, however, missed the club's opening league game of the season against Clermont Foot last weekend where they won 4-2 away from home.
Prior to the game, Salisu was presented to the media where he talked about his recovery and favourite position.
"We have a really good young squad. I have to focus on the journey but I am working very hard in the gym and in training to be ready and to be back," he said during the presentation.
"I often play on the left side and I am comfortable in the middle as well. I don't mind playing both."
Salisu's last competitive appearance was in March for the Saints was subsequently dropped towards the end of last season owing to worries about his commitment.
