Santos president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro is convinced that being coached by Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho would have a negative effect on Neymar's career.
The Brazil international is considered one of the brightest young talents in world football, and has been linked with Barcelona, Chelsea and Madrid among other teams.
Nevertheless, Ribeiro feels that joining Los Blancos while Mourinho is in charge would be the end of a promising career for Neymar.
"Just imagine Neymar being coached by someone like Mourinho, who is all about discipline. That would destroy one of the biggest talents in the world," the Santos chief was quoted as saying by Bandsports.
"The thought alone makes me shudder. I just can't think about what that would mean for Neymar."
The 20-year-old attacker has repeatedly said that he intends to stay at Santos until after the 2014 World Cup, while Barcelona have recently become the favourites to sign the youngster when he becomes available.
