The strange calabash that was discovered in an over 70-year-old tree upon being felled in Tema Community 2, has vanished.
The strange object disappeared when eyewitnesses rushed to the scene to catch a glimpse and take photos. However, some of them were not lucky as the calabash vanished before they could finish the photo-shoot.
Kwabena, a resident of the area decided to cut down the tree which was becoming a threat to human life. He told Adom News that when the tree became a nuisance, he contacted the appropriate authorities to secure a permit and secured the services of a chainsaw operator to cut it down.
After felling the tree, Kwabena said he decided to cut it into smaller logs. That was when the calabash, which was in a state of decomposition, was found.
One Sisi Yaa, who owns a shop close by, could not hide her joy after the tree was finally cut down.
According to her, “I have been trading under the tree for almost 35 years yet I cannot boast of any profit from my business”. She could however not attribute her plight to the three and its strange content.
