The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress Ludwik Hlordze has refuted claims of neglect levelled against him by footsoldiers of the party.
Sidi Musah Abubakar, a footsoldier and one of the defeated National organisers of the ruling party accused Hlordze of running affairs of the youth at the castle instead of the party head quarters.
Speaking on Joy FM’s news analysis programme Front Page, Abubakar posited the party has failed to recognize the role of the foot soldiers in the administration of the party.
His counterpart in the Convention People’s Party, Fred Opoku who was also on the show alleged that the youth’s role in the party is becoming increasingly extinct largely because of the ineffectiveness of the youth organiser, Kofi Bomfeh.
He is leading a campaign to plot a ‘coup’ against the national organiser.
But in a rebuttal the National Organiser of the NDC told Joy News’ Matilda Asante Asiedu the allegations are unfounded.
He would have felt a lot more comfortable addressing the allegation if it had come from any other person, than Sidi Abubakar who he beat to become the organiser.
Hlordze said he has recorded unprecedented achievements barely four months in office.
Touting some of his achievements, Mr Hlordze said he organised the first ever national youth summit to offer the platform for all youth stakeholders to deliberate on issues affecting them.
The four day seminar he said gave the opportunity for landmark policies to be adopted and which are being implemented for the good of the Ghanaian youth.
According to him, a Youth in Agriculture Programme has been launched which has provided jobs for some of the youth.
He also cited the launching of the first ever youth endowment fund in Kumasi which is geared towards raising money for the youth.
These he said are testament of his unwavering desire to better the lot of the youth in the country, and his party in particular.
The National Organiser of the CPP was however unavailable for comment.
