The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has warned that students who engage in indiscipline will not be tolerated in schools.
Speaking at the Ministry of Education and National Teaching Council Ghana Teacher Prize sponsors’ appreciation breakfast in Accra, Dr. Apaak emphasised the government’s commitment to maintaining a safe and conducive environment for teaching and learning.
"No indisciplined students will be pampered,” he stated, stressing that disruptive behaviour will not be allowed to undermine the educational process.
While acknowledging that the majority of students are focused on their studies, Dr. Apaak noted that a few individuals could threaten the peace and safety of the school environment.
“We are determined to ensure that schools remain safe havens for both teachers and students, free from disturbances caused by those bent on causing chaos,” he said, adding that any student found engaging in criminal behaviour would face the full rigour of the law.

The Deputy Minister also praised educators for their role in shaping the nation’s future and assured them that their hard work would not go unnoticed.
Dr. Apaak’s statement comes as the government continues efforts to strengthen discipline and improve academic standards in schools, ensuring every child’s right to quality education is protected.
