A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party in the Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti Region has been stabbed to death, Friday.
Abubakar Saddiq was part of the angry Akufo-Addo loyalists who locked up the Asawase Constituency office, Thursday in protest over comments made by the Chairman of the Constituency, Isaac Brenya.

The deceased and several other supporters had threatened to beat up Mr Brenya for supporting suspended National Chair Paul Afoko and for making comments they thought was derogatory for Nana Addo.
He was said to have gone to the constituency office on hearing the office had been ransacked Friday morning but was attacked and murdered by unknown assailants.

The incident happened few minutes after midday, Luv FM's Prince Appiah reported.
It is neither clear yet who masterminded the murder nor whether the murder has any link with the ongoing chaos within the opposition New Patriotic Party.

The incident happened close to the Asawase Constituency office, Appiah indicated.
The wife of the deceased Aisha Inusah told Prince Appiah she last saw her husband last night but spoke to him this morning saying he was in Asawase.
She was to learn later that her husband has been murdered. Sources say.
He was left in a pool of blood, with his face turned down, jeans trousers pulled down to his knee level, with his multi-colored boxer shorts showing.
Abubakar Saddique, 37, was said to be a spare parts dealer at Suame Magazine but stayed at Zaabo Zongo, a suburb of Asawase.
Police have taken the body of the deceased person to the morgue and have begun investigations into the matter.
