A man believed to be in his 40s has been shot dead by another man after a verbal altercation.
The suspect is receiving treatment at the hospital after he reportedly drank a poisonous substance after the incident.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to Joy News, the deceased and his pastor friend went to have a word with the suspect in his house over an undisclosed issue.
The suspect known only as Brown after a while dashed into his room, came out with a gun and shot the deceased.
The pastor run out of the room and called for help.
The man died before the police arrived at the scene. It is currently unclear what provoked the suspect.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Twifu Praso Hospital Morgue.
The Western Regional Police Commander DCOP Alex Quainoo has confirmed the incident to Joy News and says the police are currently investigating.
