Some nominated indigenous made-in-Ghana products and industries have been shortlisted to receive the Pride of Ghana honours at the eight edition of the Made in Ghana Awards and Exhibition 2021.
Award winners would be honored at a gala dinner scheduled for Friday, September 03, 2021.
On the theme: “Building Ghanaian Brands to Compete in the Global Market:” Under the patronage of Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture as the Special Guest of Honour; Stephanie Sullivan, the U.S. Ambassador as the Guest Speaker and confirmed guests of honour, including, Sugandh Rajaran ,Indian High Commissioner; Jean Claude Galea Mallia, Maltese High Commissione; Henry Quartey ,Regional Minister, Greater Accra,; Eliphas M. Barine, Kenyan High Commissioner; Sem Tiemoko Moriko, Cote D'voire Ambassador and Ambassador Gambo Yusuf Hamza, Deputy Nigerian High Commissioner.
The Made in Ghana Awards 2021 recognises the tireless journey, hard work, outstanding achievements and vision of Ghanaian manufacturing industry, business and entrepreneurial success. It is a celebration of the most outstanding indigenous businesses, tourism, arts and culture, and the exceptional manufacturing industries behind these successful and growing industries. It is the springboard to enhanced business and manufacturing success.
The Pride of Ghana Award category of Made in Ghana Awards 2021 is a tribute to honour and recognise the contributions made and excellence achieved in manufacturing and service industries registered in Ghana which has played important role in supporting the economy of Ghana over the past decades.
The personality and Hall of fame award categories are to recognise and celebrate visionary corporate and business leaders who are distinguished by their innovative approaches to manufacturing and service industries and dedication to the well-being of economic development in Ghana.
The key objective of the award is a campaign to seek the pride of indigenous most celebrated premium quality and competitive products and service industries to create awareness and also to promote, advertise and market quality manufactured products and industries which have exhibited excellence in manufacturing practices and standards, industry personalities in Ghana, in an effort to reduce the Cedi depreciation, provide the platform for consumers to patronize made-in-Ghana products and service organizations.
The industry personality nominees include: Gopal C. Vasu Managing Director, M & G Pharmaceuticals Ltd; Madam. Valentina Mintah, Founder, West Blue Consulting; Dr. Daniel Mckorley, Executive Chairman, McDan Group Of Companies; Mr. Mukesh V. Thakwani , Executive Chairman, B5 Plus Grou and Kwame Osei-Prempeh, Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer, GOIL Company Ltd. The rest are Pankaj Bhati, Managing Director, AlphaTND Ltd; Marc Skaf, Executive Chairman, Alpha Industries Ltd & Delta Paper Mill Ltd.; Gina Ama Blay, Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany; Kosi Yankey – Ayeh, Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Enterprises Agency and Charles Antwi- Boahen, .Chief Executive Officer, Kab-Fam Ghana Ltd.
The official product nominees shortlisted are: GTP Adepa Dumas, Bel-Aqua Natural Mineral Water, Bel-Beverages, Top Choco, Flora Tissue Paper, MGL Naturals Coconut Oil And Shea Butter Hair Food, Indomie Instant Noodle, JRA Hand Sanitizer, JRA Bone To Bone Balm, GHACEM Ltd, Belshaw Fruit & Vegetable Wash and Pizzaman.
The official service and manufacturing industry nominees shortlisted are: Business And Financial Times, GOIL Company Ltd., Quick Angels Ltd., Quick Credit and Investment Micro-Credit Ltd.
