More than a hundred thousand Ghanaians are supposed to benefit from jobs resulting from investments made between January and September this year.
Another 16 thousand of the jobs created within the same period will however go to foreigners.
According to the third quarter 2010 investment report from the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, the total of 116,000 jobs is far in excess of the 20,000 jobs created in the same period last year.
According to the report the country has fast improved its economy by implementing sound monetary and fiscal policies, providing enhanced service delivery and increasing infrastructure development.
The Chief Executive GIPC, Mr George Aboagye told Joy News Ghana had gained such prominence that businesses streaming in to do business and creating jobs in the process.
He maintained the jobs were no fluke.
