A governance expert has warned that Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee risks losing the respect accorded it by Ghanaians if its members persist with the partisan nature they display in discharging their mandate.
Members of the committee have variously been criticized for needless partisanship when businessman Alfred Woyome appeared before them Wednesday.
Director of the Parliamentary Centre Dr. Rashid Draman, whose organization was instrumental in setting up the committee, expressed disappointment at the posture adopted by members of the committee.
He tells Joy News the committee must be seen to be speaking with one voice and addressing the pertinent issues.
