Pe Detundini Adiali Ayagitam III, Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area and President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs has been elected Council of State member for the Upper East Region.
In the election held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, he polled 18 out of 30 valid votes cast to beat his closest contender, Thomas Moore, who polled just 5 votes.

In all, 7 contenders vied for the slot in the Region.
