The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Bright Tetteh, also known as Kofi Y2K, a suspect who escaped from custody following his arrest in connection with a robbery incident at Sefwi Abrokefe in the Western North Region.
The suspect along with his accomplice Yaw Tawiah, alias Jah Boy, was apprehended on September 23, 2024, after they robbed their victims of valuables, including gold concentrate and several mobile phones.
The arrest was made possible with the assistance of community members, a police statement stated.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, Bright Tetteh managed to escape from police custody, prompting an urgent manhunt to recapture him.
Meanwhile, suspect Yaw Tawiah remains in custody and is aiding the police with their investigation.
