A deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku has expressed disappointment at Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr. what he says is his stabbing of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, NPP, flagbearer, in the back. Mr Pratt, according to the leaked diplomatic cables and published by whistle blower website, wikileaks, had told an official of the US Embassy in Accra that the NPP flagbearer smoked marijuana. Pratt has however, failed to respond directly to the question of whether he told the official Nana smoked marijuana. But on Peace FM Tuesday, Mr. Awuku said he was surprised that Kwesi Pratt could divulge such information [which the NPP insist is untrue] about a person he has been close to for a long time. “Kwesi, for a person you said you’ve known for over two decades, this was a stab in the back,” Awuku noted. Contributing to the discussions on the leaked cables, Pratt, managing editor of The Insight newspaper, who admitted his intimate knowledge of Nana Akufo-Addo, maintained it is wrong to make public, confidential information about others. He thus declined to comment on the matter, saying, he had very good reasons to remain quiet and warned that attempts to push him to the wall might make him say things that would hurt many.
