Former Attorney-General is asking police investigators to explain how they found no semen of the Lebanese accused of raping his 19-year-old house-help in samples tendered by the police.
The development has led to the granting of bail to the accused, Rabih Haddad who was picked up on December 3, 2017, for the alleged crime.
But former A-G Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong who is the lawyer for the victim says the evidence tendered by the police is a sharp contradiction from an earlier test carried out at the Police Hospital on December 3.
“…when the girl went to the police hospital for medical examination, the test conducted revealed that there were traces of semen found in the specimen they took and now we are being told that the test conducted by the forensic lab of the police shows that no semen was found…”, Marietta told Joy News’ Joseph Ackah Blay.

Suspect, Rabih Haddad
He had early on been denied bail by the court due to the absence of prosecution from the court.
The Former A-G is unhappy about the release of Rabih Haddad on bail.
She, however, assures that the victim is fine and carrying on with her life.
“…unlike other circumstances, she and her family are very keen on pursuing the case,” she added.
