The Ashanti Regional Security is expected to constitute a three-member committee to investigate the Foase shooting incident in which the police are alleged to have shot into a rioting crowd in the Atwima-Kwanwoma District.
It is unclear yet who the members of the committee are but official information suggests the committee will be inaugurated tomorrow.
The shooting incident happened last February. Reports suggested the security personnel had been called in to maintain order after some youth protested the relocation of the district capital from Foase to Twedie.
Four persons died, one of them on the spot when they were hit by bullets believed to have been fired by the peacekeepers.
Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, says some residents of Foase have objected to a police probe.
The Minister told Nhyira FM the law will take its course after the investigation.
He, however, indicated the Supreme Court decision on Twedie as district capital will prevail.
