Into The Unknown Tours will embark on a 10-day road expedition from Accra to Tamale to spotlight lesser-known destinations and promote domestic tourism.
Dubbed Journey to the North, the expedition begins on Friday, 14 August 2026, and runs until Sunday, 23 August, taking the team from Accra through the Volta Region before continuing into Northern Ghana.
The content-driven adventure will document breathtaking landscapes, historic landmarks, local culture, cuisine and the people who make each destination unique, with daily content shared across social media.
The expedition is in partnership with CFAO Mobility Ghana and Malta Guinness, with the two brands supporting the journey as the official mobility and beverage partners respectively.
CFAO Mobility Ghana is providing a fleet of vehicles that will power the entire journey. The convoy will include the adventurous Suzuki Jimny, the rugged Mitsubishi L200 pickup and the versatile Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, each selected to confidently navigate the varied roads and terrain the team will encounter over the 10-day expedition.
Joining the journey as the official beverage partner, Malta Guinness will support the crew throughout the expedition, reinforcing its long-standing association with resilience, energy and the spirit of achievement.

The expedition aims to shift the narrative around domestic tourism by showing that some of Ghana’s most remarkable experiences exist far beyond the country’s most familiar tourist attractions.
Leading the expedition is Derrick Boateng, CEO of Into The Unknown Tours, whose passion for discovering untold stories has helped build a growing community of adventure lovers across Ghana.
“There are incredible places in Ghana that many of us have never seen. Our goal is to tell those stories, inspire travel, and remind Ghanaians that adventure doesn’t always require a passport,” Derrick said.
The 10-day expedition follows the success of the brand’s previous content journey to Nzulezu, which generated millions of online impressions and sparked renewed interest in domestic tourism.
This year’s expedition will take audiences through towns including Ho, Hohoe, Jasikan, Kadjebi, Yendi, Savelugu and Tamale, with daily content showcasing the country’s diverse landscapes and cultures.
Beyond inspiring travel, the initiative also seeks to shine a spotlight on local businesses, hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions and communities along the route, creating visibility and economic opportunities through digital storytelling.
Speaking about the partnerships, Derrick Boateng, CEO of Into The Unknown Tours, described them as a defining moment for the organisation.
“Having the support of CFAO Mobility Ghana and Malta Guinness is an incredible vote of confidence in our vision. Together, we’re proving that Ghana has countless stories waiting to be discovered, and we’re excited to share them with the country and the world.”
With domestic tourism becoming an increasingly important contributor to Ghana’s economy, initiatives like Journey to the North demonstrate how content creators can play a significant role in promoting national heritage while encouraging citizens to explore more of their country.
Followers will be able to experience the journey in real time across Into The Unknown Tours’ social media platforms.
