Familiar breeds contempt.
But it doesn't breed fear for Ghana U20 midfielder Godfred Donsah, who says they are very capable of beating Mali in the next stage of the ongoing Fifa U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The Black Satellites have been handed a tough draw as they face Mali in the round of 16 knock-out stage. Coach Sellas Tetteh and his side finished top of Group B ahead of Austria as they eliminated six-time champions Argentina and Panama.
Midfielder Donsah is anticipating a difficult game but believes they can edge the Malians out.
"The match against Mali will be difficult but the most important thing is to grab the win which will see us through to the next stage of the competition. I have heard a lot about this fixture and that is not a surprise to me because the two side are playing very well in the competition."
"At the African Youth Championship, they defeated us in the group stages and we also beat them in the third place off game. Now we need to show them that we are better than them and we will approach the game with all seriousness."
The game between Ghana and Mali will be the third time the two sides will be meeting this year after playing at the African Youth Championship in Senegal last March.
Mali beat Ghana 1-0 in the Group stages while Ghana revenged by beating them 3-1 to win bronze at the African Youth Championship.
