Right to Dream have qualified for the MTN FA Cup after beating Oda based Sunderland FC 4:1 in the final round of the Eastern Region FA Cup knockouts at Oda.
The Academy boys have thus secured one of the five slots available to the Eastern Region for the national edition of the oldest football competition in Ghana.
RtD scored twice in the first half through Richard Donkoh and Divine Naah but the home team pulled a goal back in the second half, after they were awarded their second penalty of the game.
Despite being reduced to ten men in the second half, RtD sealed victory when player-coach, Isaac Addo came on as a substitute, hitting the back of the net twice after some wonderful exchange of passes from two quick counter attacks.
Gareth Henderby’s team beat Golden Boots FC 4:1 on aggregate before dispatching off Real Kpong 2:1 to qualify for the play-offs at Oda.
The Old Akrade team would get to know their next opponents when the draw for the FA Cup knockouts is made following their conclusion of the regional finals.
