The Police at Sakumono near Tema have arrested a man alleged to have defrauded some people by posing as an agent of the Bureau of National Investigations.
Yaw Apedo is said to have collected over GH¢10,000 from his victims by promising to get some of them recruited into the military.
The Public Relations Officer of the Tema Police, Inspector Olivia Turkson told Joy News the suspect approached some ladies and told them that as a BNI official, he could help them to get auctioned vehicles to buy.
The unsuspected ladies gave Yaw Apedo an amount of GH¢10,500 but for months, the suspect could not fulfill his promise.
His victims reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest.
