Information reaching Joy Sports reveals that chef de Mission for the Glasgow Commonwealth games, Ben Nunoo Mensah has resigned officially due to persistent financial constraints for the multi sports event later this year in Scotland.
The hard working Chef D’ Mission tendered his resignation to the Executive Board of the GOC and copied the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) and the Chairman of the 2014 Glasgow Planning Committee.
In his resignation letter, Nunoo-Mensah stated “I do this with a heavy heart, knowing the amount of work, energy and passion, we have put into trying to get Ghana Sports on the right track.
“But I have to take this very sad decision for some very personal reasons”.
Nunoo-Mensah is expected to round up his activities with the GOC and the Commonwealth Games Planning Committee by the close of the week to finally exit the two offices.
