Past students of St. Augustine’s College who call themselves Realists, Traditionalists and Atheists have made an appeal to educational authorities in the country to make room for religious diversity and inclusivity in schools.
They say such a level of tolerance would open up the Ghanaian society to the world and set the path of the country towards remarkable progress and development.
The group made the call when they donated food items worth ¢20,000 to the Science and Maths Quiz contestants at their former school to motivate them to bring back the trophy to the school.
The group that calls themselves atheists, traditionalists and realists from the past student's group of St. Augustine’s college are encouraging school authorities in Ghana to open up the schools to be receptive to other religious beliefs.

They say religious inclusivity is the surest way to develop students that would be tolerant, exploring and deep in thoughts.
The intimated, they came back to their alma mater to support the maths and science quiz team to motivate them to repeat the feat they chalked two years ago by bringing the cup to St. Augustine’s College.

Representative of the group, Nana Amissah Dadziebo, says Traditionalists, Realist and Atheist Society of the past students would continue to support the school’s team for the NMSQ.
He said, “We came back as past students to support our young brothers who would be representing the school in the NMSQ. We have the belief that they would bring back the trophy.”

Assistant Head of St. Augustine’s College, Francis Addo-Mensah received the items on behalf of the contestants and promised them the teachers and students would give off their best to bring back the Science and Maths Quiz Trophy to the school.
The group indicated, as a way of encouraging the students to stay fit and healthy for the contest, they have been giving the students fruits every weekend and would end their gestures with goat soup, to the NMSQ contestants and the team to motivate them to do their best for the school by winning the trophy.
