Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa) has been recognized among the top 100 companies in the country by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre at the Ghana Club 100 (GC100) award ceremony.
The ceremony under the theme, Impact Investments and Sustainable Economic Development, was held at the State Banquet Hall in Accra.
The GC 100 ranking is an annual initiative by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) to honour companies which have excelled in their various areas of operations under the year in review.
The prestigious awards were presented to the 100 top companies selected through a rigorous process by Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm.
The Chief of Staff, Honourable Julius Debrah who attended the event on behalf of President John Mahama congratulated the companies who had been recognized on their achievement.
In a speech read on his behalf, President of the African Development Bank, Mr. Akinwumi Adesina, underscored the commitment of the Bank to sustainability in Africa’s development.
Chief Executive Officer of GIPC, Mawuena Trebah, said, “next year our attention would continue to be on the critical sectors for investors, including what we need to do as a country to progress to an upper middle income status.”
She added that “we will take feedback from our Club 100 members to inform on the next club 100 event.
Commenting on the award, Board Chairman of Stratcomm Africa, Professor Samuel Adjepong, expressed his delight at the recognition given Stratcomm Africa.
He said “this confirms the commitment to professional excellence, professional integrity, and dedication to excellence that is evident in Stratcomm Africa’s operations”.
Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Ms. Esther Cobbah, said she and her team are happy for the award but “at the same time, feel challenged. As a team, we have come a long way. We are grateful to our clients, media, suppliers and partners as well as all our other stakeholders for believing in us and supporting us.”
The PR Personality of the Year 2013 and past CIMG Marketing Woman of the Year says the company remains committed to delivering excellent communication solutions to its clients and pursuing effective business principles.
“Our help is in the name of the Lord to whom we give all the praise”, she added.
