The beneficiaries received between GH¢411.00 and GH¢600.00 to cover tuition and other expenses for the 2010/2011 academic year.
The selection was done by a special committee set up by the MP.
Mr Osei pledged continued support for young and brilliant students from poor homes to pursue academic careers.
Education, he noted, is the greatest legacy, that parents and guardians could leave their children and appealed to them to give the young ones reasonable education.
Mr Osei said the scholarship was not only meant to offer financial assistance but to inspire them to work hard to achieve academic laurels.
Mr Charles Hagan, Chairman of the scholarship committee, urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity given them and study hard to merit further push.
Mr Osei has also donated 80 wheel-barrows to some schools in the constituency.
These included the Asem cluster of schools, Amankwatia Primary and Junior High School (JHS) and Abrotia Primary and JHS.
He praised both staff and pupils for maintaining good sanitation in their schools and said he was confident that the wheel-barrows would assist them to do more to beautify and keep a healthy environment.
He repeated his commitment towards helping to raise academic performance of schools in the area and appealed to the teachers and pupils to re-dedicate themselves and work extra hard.
