Samuel Inkoom's first season in European football ended on a high after he bagged a League and Cup double with Swiss side Basel.
The former Asante Kotoko right back joined Basle before the start of the season and went straight into the team sealing a place as a regular with some good performances in the Europa League, the Swiss League and Cup games.
And on Sunday he played the entire game as Basel beat Young Boys 2-0 to wrap up the title by two points.
"It has been a good first season for me," said Inkoom, who made 26 League appearances. "As a player you play to win and to get two in my first year is special."
The double adds up to a brilliant season for the defender who won the World Under-20 title with Ghana last September, played as a regular as Ghana reached the Nations Cup finals in Angola in January and looks set to make the final cut for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa in June.
