Police in Tamale have expressed surprise at new allegations being made by the deputy Women and Children’s Affairs minister Hajia Hawawu Boya.
The deputy Minister was allegedly assaulted at a hairdressing salon in Tamale on Sunday and she lodged a complaint with the Tamale police.
She is now naming two government officials she claimed masterminded the attack on her.
Chief Inspector Stephen Abanga described as unfortunate the allegations being made by the deputy minister.
He wondered why the deputy minister failed to name the two government officials she is accusing of masterminding the assault on her.
Chief Inspector Abanga told Joy News’ Elton Brobbey the deputy minister will have to change her statement if she wants them to extend their investigations to those she is now accusing.
