Three bodies are reported to have been retrieved from the latest Volta Lake disaster.
The search is on for more bodies, Volta Regional NADMO Coordinator Henry Ametefe confirmed to Joy News.
According to him, one of the engines of the boat caught fire in an attempt to spark it.
This he said caused a lot of pandemonium in the boat with some jumping into the water.
Ametepe said three people drowned with four others sustaining severe burn injuries.
The boat was traveling from Tepa-Abotoase to Buja in the Volta region.
The NADMO boss could not however confirm the total number of people in the boat before the incident occurred but said the search is still on for more bodies.
In September last year, over thirty people lost their lives in another accident on the Volta Lake.
