A fire outbreak Monday dawn at Tema New Town has killed two young girls aged 4 and 14 years.
The kids were trapped and burnt to death after the makeshift wooden structure they were sleeping in got totally destroyed by the fire at a location popularly called Zimbay Spot.
The Fire Service has begun investigations into the incident.
Mary Kwenor, mother of one of the children, said although she heard the screams of her child and other girl, she was unable to help them because of the intensity of the fire.

The fire also destroyed many properties.
Tema Regional Fire Commander, Julius Kunuor, told Joy News investigations started immediately fire fighters got to the scene of the fire at 2:00am.
“We have also been informed that there was power outage at the time of the fire”, he said.
Last week, a fire at a slum in Abuja near CMB claimed the life of an eight-month-old baby.
