A Koforidua High Court, presided over by Justice Efo Kossi Kaglo, has placed an interim injunction on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ayensuano Constituency executive election in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District.
The injunction followed a writ filed at the court by Mr Issac Kwaku Larbi and Nana Appiah Kubi, both supporters of the Party.
Counsel for the plaintiffs, Mr Seth Dankwa Wiafe, contended that the election held in the constituency were against the Party's constitutions.
He alleged that most of the candidates instead of contesting the election were hand-picked by the constituency secretary and some of the executives.
Mr Wiafe said the nomination forms were also distributed to their favourites in the Party.
