Vodafone Ghana has recorded an increase in its gross subscriber additions by 1,071,539 at the end of the first quarter of 2015.
This achievement is significant, especially as a thorough sanitisation of its subscriber base in the same period, resulted in a loss of 120,000 subscribers.
This development has been attributed to a base cleaning exercise by the company as well as the detection of SIMbox activities.
Vodafone has a current market share of 23.43% as of the end of January 2015 and will be expected to increase further following the improvement in gross additions this quarter.
Commenting on this, Gayheart Mensah, Director of External Affairs at Vodafone Ghana said:
“We are in exciting times as far as the telecommunications industry is concerned. As a company with a reputation for leading the way in service quality, we will ensure we put our customers first at all times. We will continue to fashion out ways of providing them with the best of experiences – it is by doing these that we will continue to attract more subscribers to our brand”.
The company was recently ranked the best in Voice clarity and 3G internet speed following an independent study by global technology company, P3 Communications. The study took into consideration parameters such as call drop and set-up rates as well as uploads and downloads speed.
Since entering the market in 2008, Vodafone has remained consistent in maintaining the highest standard of network quality for its customers.
The telecoms company is also a consistent pacesetter in the area of innovation and unmatched customer experience.
