The global marketing landscape has been transformed by the rapid rise of digital platforms.
Today, a strong online presence and digital reputation are more crucial than ever, with traditional marketing techniques evolving to complement these new tools.
The integration of digital platforms has revolutionised how brands connect, engage, and build lasting relationships with their audiences.
In line with this transformation, Global Media Alliance (GMA) is poised to spearhead celebrations for this year’s World Digital Marketing Day, focusing on thought leadership and innovation as central themes.
This year’s event will launch “Let’s Talk Digital”, a social platform by Whoopro designed to drive key digital conversations in the industry and beyond, ensuring continued dialogue around the most pressing issues in digital marketing.
Emma Wenani, Chief Director of Global Media Alliance, expressed her excitement, stating, "World Digital Marketing Day is not only a celebration of the digital age but also a moment to reflect on the strides we've made as an industry.
"GMA has always been at the forefront of communications, and this year's celebration is a testament to our commitment to empowering brands and businesses to also thrive in the digital space."
Digital marketing has become essential for storytelling, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating meaningful moments between brands and their customers.
As such, it is fitting to honour the leaders in the field who are shaping the future of brand-audience engagement.
Celebrated globally on December 16th, World Digital Marketing Day highlights the growing importance of digital marketing while recognising the efforts of marketers who promote brands, websites, products, and services across the online space.
This year, GMA will lead Ghana’s celebration with a dynamic lineup of activities designed to educate, inspire, and engage.
Felix Afriyie, Head of Digital Innovations and Whoopro Team Lead at GMA, shared his thoughts on the upcoming launch of Let’s Talk Digital, noting, "We’re excited to introduce Let’s Talk Digital to stimulate relevant and forward-thinking digital conversations not just for marketers but for everyone who seeks to unlock the potential of digital marketing."
The 2024 celebration will include a mix of masterclasses, thought leadership sessions, and a main summit.
As Global Media Alliance prepares to mark this significant day, it is clear that the future of marketing is digital - and this event promises to equip marketers with the tools and inspiration needed to thrive in this ever-evolving industry.
