The Winneba Diocese of the Methodist Church, in collaboration with the United Methodist Church in the US, is to build a health Centre at Gomoa Awombrew.Bishop of the Diocese, Rt Rev Dr Joseph Ekow Ghunney, said this at the 50th Golden Jubilee Synod of the church at Winneba on Sunday.
Eighteen Circuits from the diocese including Kasoa, Apam, Agona Swedru and Breman Asikuma, attended the five-day synod.
Preaching to close the synod, the Rev Dr Joseph Ekow Ghunney, urged parents to invest in their children’s education and appealed to the youth to desist from indecent dressing, internet fraud, hard drugs and other social vices.
The Bishop also advised the youth to concentrate on their studies to enable them acquire knowledge, skills and vocations that will make them productive.Source: GNA
