A financier of the ruling National Democratic Congress Alfred Woyome and a beneficiary of the controversial ¢52 million judgement debt has threatened court action against sit-in host of Newsfile Samson Lardy Ayenini and editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Kweku Baako Jnr.
Included in the suit is the NPP’s director of Communications Nana Akomea.
Mr. Baako, a panelist on the show minced no words in describing the payment and the ongoing controversy as smelling of a conspiracy by Woyome and Waterville to dupe the country.
He supported his allegation with heap of documents. Nana Akomea on his part described the controversy as potentially the biggest fraud in the 4th republic.
Woyome through his spokesperson Akyena Brentuo had early on called the host, Samson Lardy Ayenini to say categorically that Kweku Baako will be hauled to court for making disparaging remarks about him (Woyome).
Shortly after, lawyers of Woyome sent a text message to Samson who is also the Editor of Joy FM which reads: “We have been instructed by our client to send yourselves and Kweku Baako, Akomea to court [this] coming week for the false claims that my client has conspired to dupe Ghana-Lawyers of Woyome.”
But the editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper could only afford a big laugh after Lardy Ayenini announced the threat of the court suit.
Malik Baako said his lawyers are ready to meet Woyome in court.
Two other panelists on the show, David Ampofo and Victor Adawudu are however exempted from the suit.
Stay tuned for the details of what Malik Kweko Baako and Nana Akomea said which have now become the reason for the court action.
