The Member of Parliament (MP) for Wulensi, Alhaji Saani Idi has passed away after suffering a short illness.
The MP was on admission at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment for an 'unknown' ailment, according to Joy FM's parliamentary correspondent Sammy Darko.
He reported that Alhaji Saani was clinically pronounced dead last Friday but passed on Tuesday.
The independent MP was a former Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing.
