A section of young leaders attending a four day course under the Bild International Inspiration Project have berated two of Ghana’s most glamorous clubs-Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak for encouraging violent conducts during premier league matches.
The young leaders however say the two teams are easily their famous teams in the world and should be applauded for their industry, determination and source of entertainment for the youths in the country.
They were answering questions about their favourite teams and artistes in the world as well as the positive and negative influences those teams and artistes have on them and the Ghanaian citizens at large.
Whilst some of the young leaders mentioned Musiga President Obour, as their favourite artiste they were critical about some of his lyrics which they described as profane. Others also mentioned Rihanna as their favourite artiste but were unimpressed with her dressing which they said exposed too much of her body.
The Young Leaders Forum is part of the International Inspiration (II) Project initiated by the British Government in partnership with the British Council to enrich the lives of 12 million youth across the world.
The project is to ensure that selected countries benefit from the 2012 Olympic Games as much as the host City-London- would.
34 Senior High School students selected from ten schools converged at the University of Education Winneba to be taken through theoretical and practical leadership training programmes. They were led by 12 local tutors.
A similar project was concurrently taking place in Kumasi.
