Heart of Lions bounced back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Aduana FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday in match week 18 of the Ghana Premier League.
The victory comes after Bashir Hayford’s team lost their last two games, which took them off the top spot. However, the win lifts them from fourth to third with 33 points, one behind leaders Asante Kotoko.
Meanwhile, the defeat means Aduana drop one place to 13th with 18 points.
Kwesi Pong opened the scoring for the hosts seven minutes after the interval to set them on course for victory.
With eleven minutes to go, Asante Seedorf Afful doubled the lead for Heart of Lions to take the game beyond the 'Fire Boys'.
Alex Boakye netted the consolation goal for Aduana FC in the 86th minute to wrap up the game.
Heart of Lions will play away to Hearts of Oak in match week 19, while Aduana FC host Bechem United.
