At least 21 people are feared dead after a Ford passenger bus and a taxi-cab collided head-on at Ayakomaso in Sunyani Municipality about 1400 hours on Tuesday.
An eye witness told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that all the 18 passengers of the Ford bus traveling from Dormaa-Ahenkro to Sunyani and three passengers on the Sunyani-Berekum bound taxi-cab were completely burnt beyond recognition.
The eye-witness added two passengers on the taxi-cab were the only survivors of the accident.
Chief Inspector Obeng Dompreh confirming the accident to the GNA said the Police and personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) from Sunyani were busily making frantic efforts to retrieve the dead bodies from the accident spot.
