A 21-year-old young speech impaired lady Christiana Ohenewaa has allegedly been kidnapped by persons who posed as “Jehovah Witnesses” preaching the word of God at Akyem Tafo in the Eastern region.
An eye witness told Asempa News the incident occurred at a place called Zongo on Friday, adding that another girl, whose name was given as Dede, 17, was also kidnapped by the unknown assailants.
Mother of one of the persons kidnapped, Yaa Amoabeng, recounting the incident to Asempa News said the two were said to have been taken to Kade, also in the Eastern Region, but all efforts to trace them proved futile.
The Akyem Tafo police confirmed the case to Asempa News but said the matter is under investigations.
