A 31-year-old man is in the grips of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Nungua Police for attempting to defile a 15-year-old student.
The suspect, Simpson Mensah is said to have arranged with the boy, who is a student at the engineering Burma Camp in Accra, to have an annal sex with him on Friday.
This, according to the Police was not the first time the suspect has had that kind of arrangement with the victim. They say their initial investigation revealed Mr Mensah has been sodomising the victim for the past three years.
Deputy Director of Police Transport, ASP Peter Okyere who was part of the operation said the victim told the police he has been pleading with the suspect to put an end to the practice. But he would not agree.

On the scheduled date, the victim is said to have notified the police about the arrangement and asked them to help him.
ASP Okyere narrated they took the victim's phones and began communicating with Mr Mensah. They told him to rush to the house since the victim's mother has traveled outside town to attend a funeral.
Mr Mensah who is said to be a tax driver and resident at Kasoa Bawjiase drove to the victim's house. He is reported to have undressed the moment he entered the room.
When he made way to where the victim was seated in the bedroom, the police sprung up from their hideouts and arrested him.
In the course of interrogation, Simpson Mensah who described himself as a homosexual said he has been sleeping with some men in Agona Swedru.
He has since been handed over to the DOVVSU department at the Nungua Police.
