Three hundred and fifty youth have been recruited into the Ghana Prisons Service under the Youth in Security module of the National Youth Employment Programme.
The new recruits received a six-week intensive training to prepare them for their new jobs.
Co-ordinator of the NYEP, Abuga Pele speaking to Joy News ahead of an induction ceremony in Accra on Friday, said “They are going to compliment the effort of the Ghana Prisons Service,” he said, adding they will be assisting with their farming organization and cleaning some of the prisons.
